Start Twisting to optimize your arm gains
By: Finley McGehee
Twist bicep curls are the best way to maximize your arm growth. When you talk to a newcomer in the gym, they perceive training the bicep into the motion of a regular straight curl; in fact, if you just do this, it will end up making your arm very proportional. I'm here to fix that.
To break it down, there are two major parts of your bicep: the short head and the long head. When you are doing the “standard bicep curl”, it results in only training the short part of your bicep.
Don't get me wrong this exercise is very beneficial and you should still continue to do it, there is just a lot more variations of bicep curls, that will take your whole arm growth in a different way.
Like most newbie lifters they don't pay attention to the scientific part of growth. You wonder why people progress so fast around you, and You feel left behind, stuck in dust. Lifting weights is not as simple as doing the basics; it takes years of learning and practicing techniques, just like anything in the world.
Like all muscle groups, there are different parts of that muscle, and you can't just train one exercise. For example a lot of people only train the short head of the bicep. They dont even know that the long head is just as important.
I like to train the twist bicep curl, which trains both of the heads of the biceps. It is a mix between a hammer curl and a straight curl. You may be wondering what a hammer curl is. Instead of holding the weight like a regular bicep curl, you hold the weights like a hammer, then you start your move, like a bicep curl. This will also engage your forearm a lot more, developing a bigger arm all around.

There are many variations of good arm workouts, and another way to work the same muscle is by doing it on a seated bench. This will put all the weight in your arms, so you can't really move your body that much, so it prevents you from cheating the reps.
Once you start this arm exercise, it will take your bicep gains to a new level, allowing you to gradually build your arms up. I learned so many different exercises from influencers like that that provide reliable information and will help you take your lifting passion to a whole new level.
